Dave Bautista lands important James Bond movie role

Former WWE champion Batista might just have landed his biggest and most important Hollywood role so far, a spot on the upcoming James Bond movie.

The announcement was made today at the 007 Stage at Pinewood Studios by EON Productions, MGM Studios, and Sony Pictures Entertainment, where all the cast were presented to the media. Batista will play the role of the villain Hinx, a henchman/assassin.

Rumors of Batista being part of the Bond cast started in October on several movie websites after a casting call was issued for a male between 30 and 45 years of age who is at least 6’2″ and who is extremely physically fit and can do his own stunts.

Principal photography on the movie kicks off on Monday, December 8.

Batista just came off a very successful Guardians of the Galaxy movie where he was praised for his role as Drax the Destroyer.
