Friends, co-workers, send their best wishes to The King

The wrestling community was obviously shaken by the news of Jerry Lawler yesterday as his heart attack during the live RAW broadcast resulted in tons of messages from his friends and colleagues on Twitter.

“I’m shaken by the news of my friend Jerry Lawler’s medical emergency in Montreal. Hands shaking. Prayers for the King. I feel helpless,” wrote Jim Ross. “Going to be a long night here in Okla. Wish I was in Montreal. Pray.” Lawler is one of JR’s best friends and the two share a special bond from years of broadcasting together.

“Praying for The King. Get well soon,” wrote Scott Hall, an individual who has often found himself on the other side of these messages with his troubled past.

“My prayers and thoughts go to “The King” as he finds his strength in his recovery,” wrote Vickie Guerrero, often the butt of jokes from Lawler on RAW.

“Best wishes and prayers to @JerryLawler one of my favorite people in the WWE,” said Chris Jericho. “King has been a champion for 40 yrs and he’ll beat this too!”

Celebrities like Maria Menounos, Dennis “Mr. Belding” Haskins, Billy Corgan and others – all big WWE fans – also sent their best wishes on Twitter.

Other Superstars and Divas such as Layla, Natalia Neidhart, Lita, Wade Barrett, Bret Hart, Howard Finkel, David Otunga, The Iron Sheik, Shawn Michaels, Diamond Dallas Page, Christopher Daniels, Brian Hebner, Mickie James, Velvet Sky,  and others.
