Bully Ray returns to TNA as special referee during Impact

Former TNA champion Bully Ray was the mystery referee for last night’s Kurt Angle vs Eric Young title match on Impact. TNA President Dixie Carter hyped up the surprise appearance saying the champion is not currently on its roster.

Bully Ray has not wrestled for TNA since late 2014 after he did not renew the contract he was offered. In January, he showed up at the Royal Rumble using his old Bubba Ray Dudley gimmick to a large pop from the Philadelphia crowd however that turned out to be his first and only WWE appearance since 2005.

In last night’s match, Kurt Angle retained the title and Bully got some action as well, although not the kind he wanted as he got low-blowed by Eric Young and then almost gets piledrived.
