TNA and Sony SIX announce three live events in India

TNA and Sony Six in India announced the first ever live international televised event from the country as well as a partnership with Dalip Singh, the man formerly known as The Great Khali, for a talent search to find the next Indian wrestling star.

TNA will present three live events in Mumbai on December 2, 3, and 4, with the last show being a One Night Only show broadcasting live in India.

Present for the announcement were Ethan Carter III, Rebel, and Mahabali Shera, as well as Dalip Singh. The TNA talent are on a 7-day tour in the country to promote their upcoming tour.

Former WWE champion Dalip Singh will lead the talent search along with John Gaburick, TNA’s Executive Vice President of Television and Talent Relations. Singh will be a part of the selection process and help mentor the contenders.

“For the first time in India, fans will be able to experience a live event which is something that they have only seen on our channel,” said Prasana Krishnan, Business Head, Sony SIX. “Through our annual efforts in showcasing international wrestling talents in India, we aim to reach out to more than millions of viewers, reaching out to a broader fan base in the country.”

Dixie Carter, President of TNA Wrestling, said that Sony SIX are phenomenal partners and have been “tremendous” in expanding the reach of TNA in the country.

“We are also proud of the relationships we are forming with our fans across India and we are honored to travel our incredible roster to India for three historic global live events emanating from Mahabali Shera’s home.”
