WWE Network to debut in Germany on January 5, 2016

The official launch date of the WWE Network in Germany is Tuesday, January 5, 2016, almost two years after the Network made its debut in the United States. With the German launch, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, will also get the WWE Network.

The 4 new countries receiving the Network will get the U.S. version of the product for $9.99 a month and will include full access to the WWE Network library including the 12 pay-per-views live. The WWE Network will first be available on desktop, laptop and mobile devices, followed by Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Sony PlayStation 3, Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Roku and Smart TVs in time for Royal Rumble.

“Germany is a strategically important market for WWE with a passionate and engaged fan base,” said George Barrios, WWE Chief Strategy & Financial Officer. “We are committed to growing our brand internationally, and global expansion of WWE Network is critical to achieving that goal.”

Germany was the last big market in Europe to adopt the Network due to contractual obligations with the local broadcaster.
