New TNA champion to be crowned on first live Impact on Pop

The new TNA World champion will be crowned on the first episode of Impact Wrestling on Pop on January 5 live from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The semi finals and final of the TNA World Title Series will be taking place on the same broadcast as TNA moves to a network which has almost the same reach of Spike TV. Ever since moving to Destination America, viewership for TNA sank to just over a quarter of a million viewers while before on Spike they were reaching a million viewers every week.

The whole TNA World Title Series, which was kept under wraps until the announcement, was actually taped back at the end of July so everything you are seeing now on Impact is pretty much five months old.
