23 years ago to the date, Monday Night Raw made its debut on USA Network as a one hour broadcast replacing Prime Time Wrestling and taped from the Grand Ballroom at Manhattan Center Studios in New York City.

1,180 episodes later, WWE’s flagship show is the longest running weekly episodic program in primetime TV history, and while its ratings are way down from the Attitude Era, Raw delivers enough numbers to keep the show in the top 5 on cable and is often the most watched show on cable on Monday nights.

Throughout the 23 years, Raw went through 3 different networks and 12 different theme songs. After ending its relationship with USA Network in 2000, Raw moved to TNN and later to Spike TV which was a TNN rebrand. After 8 years, USA Network got the rights for Raw again and WWE has called USA Network its home ever since. Marilyn Manson, Papa Roach, Nickelback, and Outasight are some of those artists who recorded a Raw theme song.

Monday Night Raw airs pretty much in every country that WWE has a broadcast deal with and it apart from airing live in the United States, the show also airs live in several other countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, India, Latin America, Australia and others.
