Nikki Bella undergoes successful neck surgery

Former WWE Divas champion Nikki Bella underwent successful surgery this morning to repair a broken neck and a herniated disk. Nikki was accompanied to the hospital by her boyfriend John Cena, sister Brie, brother JJ, her mother and John Laurinaitis, who is dating her mother.

Earlier this week, she told E! News, “What makes mine a little bit difficult than most people is that I have some disk behind my vertebrae so with a lot of prayers we’re gonna pray that the doctors can get the piece behind my vertebrae with just a bone fusion.”

It will take around six months before doctors can figure out if Nikki can resume her wrestling career and if she does, the use of the Rack Attack finishing move will be out of the question as that was the source of her problem.

Her sister Brie tweeted earlier today that the surgery was done and it was successful. “Great news #BellaArmy Nikki’s surgery was successful she is sleeping soundly as we speak! Thank you all for your support,” she wrote.
