Cena, Nakamura, and Asuka to be part of WWE’s Japan tour in July

John Cena will be joining the WWE tour in Japan in two months, a tour that will only last two days with back-to-back shows in Tokyo at the world famous Ryogoku Kokugikan. Unlike last year, these will be non-televised shows. Last year WWE aired the July 4 show from Tokyo on the WWE Network marketed as The Beast in the East with the return of Brock Lesnar to the Land of the Rising Sun.

Two of Japan’s most popular wrestlers – Shinsuke Nakamura and NXT Women’s champion Asuka – will be joining the crew as well even though they are not on the main roster yet. This makes sense considering the huge following the two have over there. Nakamura will be wrestling Bray Wyatt on both days while Asuka will take on Becky Lynch on the first event and Natalya on the second one.

Other Japan favorites – AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson – are also on the tour.
