Stephen Amell thanks Cody Rhodes for “a grand adventure”

Stephen Amell, the Hollywood actor who portrays the Green Arrow on the CW television series, thanked his friend Cody Rhodes after he got released from WWE per his wishes.

“Thinking of my good friend @PrinceCGR today,” Amell tweeted. “Whatever’s next, he will excel. Cody: Thanks for taking me on a grand adventure!”

The two shared an on-screen angle which resulted in a SummerSlam tag team match, with Amell teaming up with Neville to take on Stardust and King Barrett. Earlier this year Rhodes and Amell also shot an angle during the Dallas Comic Con when Rhodes, as Stardust, and his wife Eden showed up at Amell’s panel to give him his Slammy Award – and two glasses of water to the face – which Amell was going to raffle to benefit WWE fan Elijah “Drax Shadow” Mainville.

One of the other Superstars who shared that SummerSlam stage with the two, Neville, also had a parting message for Rhodes. “We may have had our differences in the ring, but he did more for me than he’ll ever know. Thank you Cody. I’ll truly miss you mate.“
