Lesnar gets massive payday for UFC 200, over 3x than his opponent

Kevin Iole from Yahoo! Sports wrote on Twitter that Brock Lesnar received a total of $2.5 million for his fifteen minute fight last night against Mark Hunt at UFC 200. And that’s just the base salary, not counting any additional bonuses he will get once the PPV buys are confirmed.

That figure is way, way more than what he ever received before in the UFC and you can see why Lesnar was keen in returning, at least for one more fight. Just to compare, his opponent Mark Hunt received $700,000 while the main event players, Meisha Tate and Amanda Nunes got $500,000 and $100,000 respectively. Apart from Daniel Cormier, whose purse was not revealed, Anderson Silva was the third highest paid fighter on the UFC 200 card getting $600,000 for accepting the fight against DC with two days to go.

The figures were part of the paperwork filed by the UFC with the Nevada State Athletic Commission which journalists have access to.

Not a bad sum for six weeks of hard training and fifteen minutes in the Octagon, no?
