Raw is getting a little bit of the Attitude Era as Mick Foley was announced as the new Raw General Manager last night by Stephanie McMahon.
This is not the first time that Foley was put in charge of Raw. Foley was WWF Commissioner between June and December 2000 and then from October to November 2001. In 2002 he was Raw General Manager for two weeks in December.
Foley has not worked full time for WWE since 2008 where he was serving as the color commentator for Smackdown. He returned in 2012 and was then inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. In between those years he worked for TNA.
The former champ has been vocal against WWE’s storylines lately and regularly posts on Facebook his opinions. His son now also works for WWE as a creative writer assistant.
