Former WWE announcer Todd Grisham has been hired by the UFC and will make his debut on the UFC Fight Night broadcast on January 15 live from Phoenix, Arizona.

Grisham had a 7-year career with WWE, starting with the company in 2004 doing commentary for Heat and Experience. He hosted the web show Byte This! as well as Bottom Line, before he became the play-by-play commentator for ECW on SyFy in 2008. In 2009, he was promoted to lead the Smackdown commentary team and later became the voice of NXT. He left the WWE in August 2011 and joined ESPN. At ESPN, Grisham was the co-anchor of ESPNEWS and then moved to anchor SportsCenter.

His role in the UFC will be to work as a studio host for FOX Sports 1 broadcasts as well as doing play-by-play of fights. It’s not known if he will replace the recently departed Mike Goldberg on pay-per-views as well.

Grisham wrote on Twitter that “2017 is going to be a great year,” changing his handle to @GrishamMMA in the process.
