Jerry “The King” Lawler to do commentary for the Royal Rumble match

Jerry “The King” Lawler has not done any commentary for WWE television since mid-2016 but that will all change come the Royal Rumble.

It was announced last night on Talking Smack that the WWE Hall of Famer will be back in the commentary booth to call the 30-man over-the-top rope Royal Rumble match along with Michael Cole and Corey Graves, leaving no Smackdown announcer calling the action.

The regular commentary teams will be doing their own matches on the show and the change will only be done for the Royal Rumble match.

Jerry Lawler returned on Smackdown last night to host a special edition of The King’s Court with Dolph Ziggler. That did not turn out well for The King who got super kicked in the chest by Ziggler.

Lawler has been off WWE television for the past few months after he was removed from the pay-per-view Kickoff panel shows along with Lita.
