Mark Andrews’ neck CT scan shows only bruising

The neck injury that Mark Andrews suffered yesterday during the NXT non-televised live event at Download Festival does not seem to be as serious as originally thought.

WWE.COM says that the company’s medical personnel on site quickly evaluated the WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament participant and a CT scan performed afterward came back negative, showing only bruising. “Mark would like to thank all his fans for their concern,” a statement read.

Andrews was part of an 8-man tag team match, tagging with Roderick Strong, Drew McIntyre, and Aleister Black taking on the Authors of Pain, Pete Dunne, and Bobby Roode. According to Twitter user Alan4L, one member of the Authors of Pain hit Andrews and he went down holding his neck and rolled out to the floor.
