Billy Gunn joins NXT as trainer

WWE has hired Monty Sopp, better known to wrestling fans as Billy Gun and Kipp James, as a new trainer for the developmental system NXT.

The former tag team title holder joins Joey Mercury, Norman Smiley, Ricky Steamboat, and Terry Taylor as a trainer down in Florida.

He last appeared for WWE in July of this year when he returned with Road Dogg and X-Pac to reunite with Triple H and Shawn Michaels as Degeneration-X for the 1,000th episode of Monday Night RAW.

The last time he was actually employed by the company was in 2004 and in 2005 he joined TNA Wrestling where he stayed there till 2009.
