Aleister Black “attacked” inside the Full Sail parking lot

Aleister Black was seemingly written out of the Takeover: Brooklyn 4 main event after an angle which WWE ran on their website.

Black was “left laying” unconsciously inside the parking lot of Full Sail University where NXT is taped. The angle started with William Regal being interviewed backstage and then someone alerted him that something went down outside. As Regal was exiting the door that leads to the parking lot, Johnny Gargano entered the building and The Undisputed Era drove away in a car. At that point, Regal found Black out on the floor as referees tended to the former NXT champion.

Black suffered a groin injury last week during a non-televised live event in Las Vegas and needed surgery. While he hasn’t been officially taken off the match yet, the main event is looking more like it will be another Ciampa vs Garagano match for the NXT title instead of the triple threat match unless Black makes a miraculous recovery.
