Matt Hardy taking time off due to several injuries

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Matt Hardy will be taking some time off to heal from injuries and might not return to in-ring action.

Teaming up with Bray Wyatt is now done and dusted as Wyatt finds himself without a program again. On Twitter, Hardy thanked Wyatt for his latest journey. “Thank you for everything, my COMPEER.. I shall miss you, @WWEBrayWyatt,” Hardy wrote.

The former Tag Team champion will now start several treatments to fix his injuries, mainly hip and back related, and then he will decide if he wants to resume wrestling.

Meltzer also adds that there’s an idea floating around to have Matt working with backstage producers to learn more about the job in hopes of having him stick around and use him as an agent and producer.

Matt, along with his brother Jeff, returned to WWE in April of last year at WrestleMania as the surprise entry in the ladder match for the Raw Tag Team titles.
