Daniel Cormier jokes that he might go to WrestleMania and cost Lesnar his title

During ESPN’s Fight Night yesterday, UFC Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier was asked when his next fight is, and while he said there’s nothing yet on the calendar, he did say that he has his eyes on one person: Brock Lesnar.

“I may go to WWE WrestleMania and I may go cost him the title over there so he can hurry up and get to the UFC so I can beat him here,” Cormier said.

The two had been expected to fight in early 2019 after Lesnar’s suspension was up but it never materialized as Lesnar continued working for WWE instead. Brock stormed the Octagon after Cormier’s fight at UFC 226 and cut a promo on him and then at UFC 230, Cormier called him out again following his victory but Brock was not in attendance.

UFC President Dana White said he hoped to hear from Lesnar this Summer so he can get back in the Octagon.

Cormier is a huge WWE fan and attended WrestleManias in the past and was supposed to get a tryout at the WWE Performance Center for potentially joining the WWE commentary team in the future.
