Smackdown non-televised event for tomorrow canceled and rescheduled for October

Tomorrow’s Smackdown non-televised live event from Corbin, Kentucky, was canceled due to the lack of Superstars who were going to be part of the show.

The plan is to have Smackdown stars appear on Raw tomorrow as the hype for the Money In The Bank pay-per-view continues. It’s also probably a knee-jerk reaction to the dismal viewership numbers that the show has been pulling over the past few weeks, especially this past Monday.

With the Smackdown main folks booked to appear on Raw, it was easier to cancel the show in Corbin than giving fans a half-assed show and still probably offer refunds. This show has now been rescheduled to October 17 at the same location – The Arena at Southeastern KY Agricultural and Expo Complex – and original tickets remain valid for that show. Ticket purchased with the original date may be refunded by request at point of purchase.
