First the WWE World Cup and now the Tuwaiq Mountain trophy is also coming to WWE for the Super ShowDown event in Saudi Arabia later this month.
Tuwaiq what?
Well, it looks like WWE has chosen a Saudi name for their latest prop. Tuwaiq is a narrow escarpment that cuts through the plateau of Najd in central Arabia, running approximately 800 kilometers from the southern border of Al-Qasim in the north, to the northern edge of the Empty Quarter desert near Wadi ad-Dawasir in the south.
The trophy will be awarded to the winner of a six-man gauntlet match, the latest match added to the Super ShowDown pay-per-view. The match will feature United States champion Andrade, Bobby Lashley, Rusev, Erick Rowan, R-Truth, and AJ Styles. Both Andrade and Styles are currently out, with Andrade suspended for 30 days and Styles with an injury. The suspension will be ending just in time for Andrade while Styles is said to be recovering quicker than expected from his shoulder injury he suffered at the Royal Rumble.
There are five matches so far announced for Super ShowDown and no women’s match yet.
