Rusev pledges $20,000 to help WWE employees who are not getting paid

WWE Superstar Rusev has pledged to donate $20,000 to his extended WWE family who he says are “sitting at home without an income.”

The tweet suggests that WWE has furloughed some employees due to the coronavirus outbreak. Those most likely affected include the individuals who are typically on the road and in charge of setting up and tearing down arenas since there’s no live events taking place. “WE can’t do it without y’all. Production, security, etc. LOVE YALL,” Rusev wrote.

WWE has been running TV from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, as all non-televised live events for the next month or so have been cancelled.
