Edge suffers torn triceps injury during match against Randy Orton

Edge’s return might be short-lived, at least for now, as the Rated-R Superstar tore his triceps while taping his match against Randy Orton for Backlash last week.

The news was reported originally by Sean Sapp of Fightful.com and since the match was taped, nobody was allowed to talk about the injury until the match aired.

The match between the two went for nearly 45 minutes and Edge spent a portion of the match wrestling injured although it looked hard to pinpoint exactly when the injury happened.

A torn triceps injury usually requires surgery and a year out on the sidelines as the painful injury heals.

This was Edge’s third time in the ring since he made his surprise return in January of this year. Edge wrestled at the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, and now Backlash.
