Monday Night Raw gets limitless as Keith Lee gets called up

If Keith Lee losing the NXT title didn’t make much sense on Saturday, the plan got a clearer picture yesterday as WWE announced that Keith Lee is moving to Monday Night Raw starting tonight.

“Let the #Limitless era of #WWERaw begin… Congratulations @RealKeithLee,” tweeted Triple H after the video aired during SummerSlam.

Lee has been signed with WWE since May 2018 and was introduced to fans at Takeover: Chicago II the next month. He made his debut during an NXT TV episode in August of that year and within a year he quickly rose in popularity with fans. His WarGames and Survivor Series performances last year were well received and catapulted him even higher in the NXT ranks.

Lee won the NXT North American title after defeating Roderick Strong on the January 22 episode of NXT and then won the NXT title from Adam Cole during night two of the Great American Bash in July. He lost the title to Karrion Kross this past weekend at Takeover: XXX after only one successful title defense against Dominik Dijakovic.
