WWE and several Superstars honor Jon Huber on Raw

WWE and its Superstars honored Jon Huber on last night’s Raw, putting aside the competition with All Elite Wrestling to recognize a man loved by everyone backstage after his untimely death.

The show opened with an In Memoriam graphic and Tom Phillips kicked off the broadcast by saying, “It’s Monday, you know what that means,” something that Huber used to write on Twitter almost every day. WWE champion Drew McIntyre, who was the first wrestler out on Raw, also made reference to it during his promo.

McIntyre and Alexa Bliss also used “Yeah yeah yeah” during their segments, something that Huber, as Luke Harper, used to say in WWE. In addition to McIntyre and Bliss, Xavier Woods and Ricochet both used the discus lariat in their matches as a tribute to Huber and T-BAR of Retribution also had a subtle, but visible tribute to Huber during the Retribution entrance. Woods sported a Brodie armband as well.

Unfortunately though, there was no tribute video during the show or a 10-bell salute at the start of Raw.

Immediately following Raw on the Raw Talk show, Woods and Kingston also took their time to explain what Jon Huber meant to them and what a great human being he was. Woods got very emotional and was consoled by R-Truth at one point.
