Keith Lee asks for “more time” to explain absence

It has been a few months since we have seen former NXT champion Keith Lee on WWE television.

Lee, who had to be pulled from the Royal Rumble after he was diagnosed with coronavirus and then later from the triple threat match for the U.S. title at Elimination Chamber, has been absent since February.

His status remains unknown and the reason why he is not on television remains a mystery to everyone.

A rumor which started circulating last week saying that Lee was released from his WWE contract ended up being false.

When asked on Twitter what is next for him, Lee replied, “Unfortunately, only time will tell,” raising more suspicions about his WWE future.

Yesterday, Lee also posted an update. “To the people offering uplifting words…know that I appreciate you greatly,” he wrote. “And worry not, when I say I am limitless, I mean it. I will try and find a way to explain everything in the most efficient way possible. Give me just a little more time.”

His girlfriend, Mia Yim, has also been absent from WWE television since Retribution disbanded. When she was hackled on Twitter about the status of her man, Yim said that it’s no one’s business and fans shouldn’t be entitled “to our medical/personal business.”
