Some of the Superstars who were released yesterday in the latest round of cuts, spoke publicly about getting the pink slip.

14 WWE Superstars got the dreaded phone call yesterday as WWE continued trimming down the roster, making 2021 one of the bloodiest so far along with 2020 when it comes to firings.

Fandango, the first name publicly announced thanked Vince McMahon, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon. “Thank you for the last 14 years. I truly appreciate it!”

Killian Dain wrote that he got the phone call yesterday while he was working at the WWE PC doing extra ring work. “I’m gutted. I’m angry but I know it’s not personal,” he wrote. Dain thanked Robbie Brookside, William Regal, Fit Finlay, Johnny Moss, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H in a long statement posted on social media. “See you in 90 days.”

August Grey plugged the 205 Live episode that was going to air later in the day and joked that the main event of the show had just turned into a loser leaves town match. “Don’t miss it!!!”

Ariya Daivari, who is on holiday, wrote that he thought cracking his phone screen was the worst thing that was going to happen during his vacation. Ouch!

Fellow 205 Live star Tony Nese said he doesn’t care how unwatched and under-appreciated 205 Live was but he busted his ass every single time he stepped foot in the ring doing whatever was asked of him with no questions asked. “I can’t wait to be that type of employee for someone else,” Nese tweeted.

Marina Shafir noted how it’s a cold world out there and it’s a good thing she was born in Moldova. “Thank you to everyone who reached out and thank you for the opportunity @WWENXT. I will continue to be the hardest worker in the motherf*cking room, but now I need to be keen. I’m not done,” she wrote.

The Bollywood Boyz wrote that with all the bumps, torn ACL’s, dislocated shoulders, and all the other injuries, it’s all been worth if for the last 5 years. “And how ironic, we finished our last match with a shoulder hanging out of socket. It’s fitting we got fired while showing up for wrestling training – we love what we do, with a passion.”
