PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE tried to secure the services of Hall of Famer Mike Tyson to do voice-over work for the SummerSlam cold opening which will be built around Reigns vs Cena.
In the report, Mike Johnson wrote that WWE’s attempts at getting Tyson were however unsuccessful and the baddest man on the planet will not be doing any work for WWE this weekend. It’s not yet known who did the voice-over for the opening.
Tyson, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame several years ago, has been associated with AEW lately, already making a couple of appearances for the promotion and even getting physical in the ring with Chris Jericho, reigniting their WWE feud.
Tyson’s history with WWE dates back to 1998 when he was part of one of the biggest segments in television history with Stone Cold Steve Austin on Raw and then was the enforcer for the WrestleMania 14 main event. He went on to make several other appearances after that throughout the years.
