Johnny Gargano says goodbye…and gets destroyed by Grayson Waller

Addressing NXT fans in the final segment of last night’s USA Network broadcast, Johnny Gargano admitted that he does not know what his future holds and it’s still up in the air, but one thing he knows he’ll be doing for sure is being a father come February, describing it as the most important job of his life.

An emotional Gargano started his goodbye by saying that HBK told him he can go as long as he wants tonight, a rare opportunity for someone leaving to be given a live mic. Saying he always thought he wasn’t good enough, Gargano said he learned that the best way is to enjoy the moments and thanked William Regal for betting on him by inviting him back for a tryout match. The former NXT champion also thanked a bunch of people in the back who he described as his family.

Unfortunately for Johnny Wrestling, the night didn’t end well for him as Grayson Waller jumped him from behind and hit him with a chair. With the two brawling, Waller inserted Gargano’s head between the chair and proceeded to drive him into the ring steps and later powerbombed him through the announcer’s desk.
