Goldberg appears on Smackdown, challenges Reigns at Elimination Chamber

WWE Hall Of Famer Bill Goldberg made a surprise appearance on Friday Night Smackdown last night and asked for another title shot.

Roman Reigns opened the show along with Paul Heyman and The Usos as Heyman explained the whole backstory of the change of heart and going back to The Bloodline at the Royal Rumble. But as Heyman told the Oklahoma City crowd to acknowledge their Tribal Chief, a familiar music hit the speakers to a big ovation from the crowd.

“Holy hell,” screamed Pat McAfee from the announce booth as Goldberg marched down to the ring.

“I acknowledge you,” Goldberg said as Reigns smirked. “As my next victim!” That smirk turned into a serious face before Goldberg laid down the challenge.

“You, me, at Elimination Chamber for the Universal championship. You’re next,” continued Goldberg.

This is Goldberg’s last match under his current WWE deal after wrestling three times last year. Goldberg vs Roman Reigns was supposed to happen at WrestleMania 36 but the match was changed a week before after Reigns decided to go home due to the coronavirus pandemic. Braun Strowman eventually took his place and won the Universal title from Goldberg.
