Former NXT Women’s champion Kairi Sane is returning to the ring…but in her native home of Japan for Stardom.
The 33-year-old took part in a Stardom press conference today and she will be wrestling at the Stardom World Climax events in late March, two events which will take place at the Sumo Hall.
Kairi, who is now going just by that name, looks like she will be tagging with Mayu Iwatani to take on Unagi Sayaka and Tam Nakano in a tag team match.
She wrestled for Stardom between 2011 and 2017 and then joined WWE where she was part of NXT and later the main roster. After departing the United States in 2020, she took an ambassadorial role for WWE in Japan.
Kairi held several titles during her first Stardom stint and did pretty well in WWE as well, winning the Mae Young Classic, NXT Women’s title, and WWE Women’s Tag Team titles with Asuka.
