Brock Lesnar’s opponent at Madison Square Garden last night ended up being Austin Theory, and Paul Heyman’s master plan of getting the WWE title off the Beast Incarnate did not work.

But there was a surprise waiting for Lesnar after the match as right after the win, Roman Reigns and The Usos attacked Lesnar. Reigns hit Lesnar with a barrage of chair shots to the back and then hit him with the steel steps, opening him up.

The Universal champion then made a statement by hitting a version of the Rock Bottom on the steel steps, leaving Lesnar motionless. Reigns then stood on top of Lesnar with both the WWE and Universal titles raised above his shoulders.

“Brock Lesnar…acknowledge me,” Reigns screamed as Heyman slammed the mic on the floor.

There were no surprises during the Madison Square Garden show even though the WWE cameras were there to capture the whole night.
