WWE enters agreement with Ric Flair to produce “unprecedented” 2-hour documentary

It looks like Ric Flair is in WWE’s good books again as the company announced on Twitter that it has entered into an agreement with him and Tom Rinaldi to produce an “unprecedented two-hour documentary featuring never-before-revealed history” on the Nature Boy.

Flair was released from WWE in August of last year after he requested to be let go. He was subsequently removed from WWE’s opening video following the airing of the Plane Ride From Hell episode of Dark Side of the Ring.

Flair was believed to be heading to AEW before the episode aired but the negative publicity that the show brought put the brakes on any collaboration between the two.

The 16-time world champion then said that he would never work for WWE again as long as WWE President Nick Khan remains in his role. Flair clarified that he still talked to Vince McMahon despite not being employed anymore and had nothing against his former boss. Flair blamed Khan for putting pressure to remove him from the WWE opening video.

Tom Rinaldi from FOX Sports is also working with WWE on another project, the drama series titled Pinned which is being developed for NBCUniversal.
