Cody Rhodes has started the road to recovery after yesterday he underwent surgery to repair a torn pec. The surgery was performed by Dr. Jeff Dugas of Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
“The doctor just repaired Cody’s pectoral tendon which was torn completely off the bone,” tweeted his wife Brandi. “Successful surgery. He is on the road to recovery now.”
Rhodes suffered the injury last week after a weightlifting exercise and then opted to still wrestle Seth Rollins in a Hell In A Cell on Sunday. With half his torso bruised and in pain, Cody managed to get the third consecutive win over Rollins.
The former AEW TNT champion is expected to be out of action for at least six months with the Royal Rumble now being a target for return.
