Shotzi says criticism of her performance at MITB “hit hard”

Shotzi issued a statement on her social media addressing the fan reaction to some of the botches from the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match, some of which were blamed to her.

The young former NXT star acknowledged mistakes were made during the match and as she’s not a wrestle robot and just a human, slips happen especially in what she described as a “chaotic unpredictable ladder match.”

Shotzi said that she can take the joke and laugh at herself but some of the comments she received have hit hard.

“Comments like ‘you should be fired’ and other terrible things admittedly hit hard. I had to have a few friends wipe the tears off my face and slap some sense into me and remind me WHO THE F I AM,” Shotzi wrote. “That being said, all my haters can SUCK MY BIG GIANT HAIR MANGOS!”

She added that at the end of the day, there are three things she cared about once the match was over: everyone’s safety, fun factor, and crowd reaction.

“Nobody got hurt. We all had a blast and the Vegas crowd was HotHotHot! I felt on top of the world after that match and was so excited to finally have my first hardcore match in over a year. I wouldn’t have done anything I didn’t practice or thought I couldn’t do safely,” she wrote.
