Detroit favorite to host SummerSlam 2023

In a report published by Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp writes that Detroit, Michigan, is the front runner to host SummerSlam next year.

The city hosted SummerSlam once so far and you have to go all the way back to 1993 for that one. Detroit has been the home to all top four WWE premium live events in the past, with Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, and Survivor Series also hosted there.

SummerSlam is lately being held in stadiums and if they do that next year, Ford Field would be the location. The 65,000-seater Ford Field hosted WrestleMania 23.
