Mercedes Varnado, the artist formerly known as Sasha Banks, thanked WWE and many others in separate tweets just hours before the Wrestle Kingdom 17 pay-per-view.

In a series of tweets, Varnado also thanked William Regal, Triple H, the WWE Universe, Vince McMahon, and finally her character, Sasha Banks.

This morning will mark her first wrestling appearance for a promotion which is not WWE in 10 years, a promotion where she held every title and helped usher the new era of the women’s revolution.
