Sonya Deville arrested in New Jersey for unlawful weapon possession

Fightful.com is reporting that Sonya Deville was arrested in New Jersey around two weeks ago and charged with one count of unlawful weapon possession, a handgun without permit.

Deville, who has a license to carry a weapon in Florida, has no license to carry any weapon in the state of New Jersey. The arrest took place on February 19 according to Fightful after her car was being valeted and the gun was found in her glove box compartment. Police officers took her in and charged her and is now scheduled to go to court this month.

Deville applied for a license to carry a gun in Florida after a kidnapping attempt a few years ago in her own home. Mandy Rose was also living in the same place and both escaped unharmed thanks to the alarm in the house.

Fightful adds that there are no issues with her and WWE because of the arrest and Deville is working with her legal team to get the case thrown out of court.
