Sol Ruca out for months with torn ACL, Indi Hartwell suffers ankle injury

NXT fan favorite and up-and-comer Sol Ruca is out of action for the next several months after she tore her ACL.

Ruca was written off television last night on the Spring Breakin’ episode of NXT, becoming the latest victim of the mystery assailant who keeps taking out women backstage or at the parking lot of the WWE Performance Center.

A torn ACL means a lengthy spell on the sidelines, an unfortunate setback for Ruca who has been building herself up on TV lately.

Meanwhile, Ruca was not the only one injured as NXT Women’s champion Indi Hartwell was also minutes from losing her title due to a legit ankle injury.

On the show last night, Hartwell defended her title against Roxanne Perez and Tiffany Stratton in a triple threat match and landed bad on her ankle taking a move from Stratton. The injury led to Hartwell being helped to the back while the match continued between Perez and Stratton. Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline said that they called an audible and Stratton was going to win the title.

But Hartwell managed to make her way back to the ring and finish the match as originally scripted, retaining her title. It remains to be seen if the injury will actually lead to her taking some time off but NXT is heading into their next premium live event fairly soon and she is expected to be defending the title at Battleground next month.
