Savio Vega says Priest and Bunny made his Backlash appearance possible

Fresh off his surprise appearance at Blacklash, Savio Vega, explained to Cultaholic Wrestling how the whole thing came about.

The former leader of Los Boricuas said that WWE got in touch with him on the insistence of both Damian Priest and Bad Bunny, who wanted him to be a small part of their street fight match.

Vega said that when he went to The Undertaker farewell at the Survivor Series, he went to take a photo with Priest but Priest was the one who insisted to take a photo with him, as he was a big fan.

“We don’t talk too much but we keep in touch by phone. This idea was them, more Damian Priest,” Vega told Cultaholic.

Vega also said that it was Finn Balor who told him to use the moves he used when he portrayed the gimmick of Kwang as Balor was a fan of it when he was younger.

He added that he was in absolute shock to hear the reaction that the Puerto Rico crowd gave him when he showed up both backstage and during the match.

Both Vega and Carlito blew the roof off the place when they came out, with their appearances being one of the highlights of the street fight between Bad Bunny and Damian Priest.
