Bayley suffers knee injury during non-televised live event

WWE Superstar Bayley suffered an apparent leg injury during the non-televised live event in Salisbury, Maryland yesterday night.

Bayley was in a fatal four-way match against Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and WWE Women’s champion Asuka when the injury took place. Judging from the several videos posted online, Bayley ran towards Asuka, who ducked, and Bayley applied her breaks for some reason, twisting her knee.

She went to the ground and immediately clutched her right knee. With the referee checking on her, Charlotte also stepped in to check on Bayley. The referee put up the X hand sign, signifying a real injury, and the match was temporarily stopped. Eventually Asuka pinned Flair quickly after medics cleared the ring.

Bayley limped to the back under her own power and then tweeted a photo with her knee all iced up writing, “I’ll be alright, thanks everyone.”

The former champion was out of action for over a year with a torn ACL in 2021.
