Two NXT tournaments returning

The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and the Men’s Breakout Tournament will be returning to NXT television as announced by Cody Rhodes last night.

Serving as the “boss” just for one night, Rhodes gave the news in the opening segment of NXT and said that the Men’s Breakout Tournament will kick off after the women’s tournament wraps up in a few weeks. No date was given to the start of the Dusty Classic.

The 2022 men’s Dusty Classic was won by The Creed Brothers while the women’s version was won by Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray.

WWE did not hold the Men’s Breakout Tournament last year but the 2021 version had Carmelo Hayes as the winner.

No participants were announced for any of the two tournaments.
