Monday Night Raw TV report for 10/23/2023

Arena: American Airlines Center
City: Dallas, TX

The new Undisputed WWE Tag Team champions Damian Priest and Finn Balor open Raw. Cody Rhodes comes out to interrupt as Priest says they are back to running Raw. Cody asked them how it felt to be interrupted and he had a couple of questions for the leader of the Judgment Day, but Rhea Ripley is not out there. He says that Rhea is their Mami too.

Priest talked about Cody’s story and said he failed. Cody challenged Priest and Priest challenged Cody for Crown Jewel and Cody quickly accepts. Cody says what about now and let’s give everyone a preview of Crown Jewel right now and as Balor and Priest corner Cody, Rhea and Dominik make their way to the ring and Jey Uso hits Dominik from behind.

As Cody was clearing the stuff off the announce table, JD McDonagh attacked Cody. JD and Priest hook Cody’s left leg in a chair and held him up against the ring steps and Priest hit Cody with another chair. Cody looked to be injured from the hit.

In the back Adam Pearce and Jey Uso are trying to help Cody to the trainer’s office.

Alpha Academy VS. The New Day

After double teaming the Academy and Woods dropped the elbow from the top rope to pin Otis.

Winners: The New Day

Becky Lynch is interviewed and will defend the NXT Women’s championship against Indi Hartwell tonight and will defend it again tomorrow on NXT.

A video package of Ivar was shown.

Rhea Ripley talked to Seth Rollins in the back and talked to him about his match with Drew McIntyre. Rhea says he needs the Judgment Day to have his back. Rhea said he could have a reign like Roman Reigns and Seth took his sunglasses off and told her one thing he wanted is to be nothing like Roman Reigns.

Candace LeRae and Indi Hartwell talking about her match tonight and Natalya comes in and wishes her luck tonight.

Becky Lynch VS. Indi Hartwell for the NXT Women’s Championship

After a couple reversal pinfall attempts by both women, Lynch locked Hartwell in the Disarm-her and Hartwell had no choice but to tap out.

Winner and Still NXT Women’s Champion: Becky Lynch

After the match the two shook hands and Lynch went out and talked to Lyra Valkyria who is Lynch’s opponent tomorrow night.

As Candace LeRae was watching backstage, Xia Li attacked her.

Nick Aldis comes in to talk to Adam Pearce and apologizes for having Pearce escorted out of Smackdown and offered his hand to Pearce. Pearce said water under the bridge, in fact he is going to offer him to stay and watch how the flagship operates. The two then shook hands. A referee comes in and Pearce tells him to double security.

Up next, the contract signing for the fatal five way for the Women’s World Championship between Raquel Rodriguez, Shayna Baszler, Zoey Starks, Niz Jax and Rhea Ripley.

Adam Pearce said he was trying to get the challengers signed and get Rhea Ripley to sign it later. Rhea comes out and says he is going to have 4 less women in her division because Mami is always on top.

Kaiser is hyping up Vinci for his match tonight and Bronson Reed walks up to them and says tell your boss if he is ever ready for round 2, I am ready. Kaiser said go find him and tell him yourself. Tozawa then walks up and challenges Bronson and Bronson tried to deny it but agreed and told Tozawa it was his funeral. Maxine walked in and told Tozawa that is not what they talked about.

Johnny Gargano VS. Giovanni Vinci

Kaiser tried to get involved and Tommaso Ciampa comes out and chases off Kaiser and Gargano hits the over-the-top rope DDT to score the pinfall.

Winner: Johnny Gargano

Shinsuke Nakamura video airs.

Logan Paul is back and comes to the ring. Talks about the guy he beat in his boxing match. Then says he is going to beat Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel for the US title. This leads to Dominik Mysterio coming out and he says he can’t wait to see him beat his deadbeat dad. Logan then says Rey was right he and Dominik are great athletes. Logan then turned his attention to Samantha Irvin. Samantha gets in the ring and he made it hard for her to announce him as the winner when he beat Ricochet. He asked her to give everyone a preview and announce him as the new United States Champion. Ricochet then comes out and attacked Paul.

After Paul went out of ring, Dominik tried to attack Ricochet who gave him a knee to the face and went for a shooting star press and Paul pulled Dominik from the ring.

Piper Niven & Chelsea Green VS. Natalya & Nikki Cross

Nikki stood on the apron like she was in a trance, then walked away mid match then a blind tag from Piper on Chelsea’s back started a double team on Natalya and a Piper cross body splash gets the win for the champs.

Winners: The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green & Piper Niven

Jey Uso warming up and Drew McIntyre comes to him and says he is sorry for what happened with losing the tag titles. But if he never came to Raw, this match with Sami would never happen and now what happens is on you.

Adam Pearce gets stopped by the Miz and complains it has been weeks since he has had anything relevant on Raw. He then says Nick Aldis knows this and Rhea Ripley walked in and signed the fatal five-way contract.

Drew McIntyre VS. Sami Zayn

Good match ended when Rhea Ripley came out and Drew hit the Claymore off the distraction.

Winner:  Drew McIntyre

Adam Pearce caught Nick Aldis talking with Kayden Carter and Katana Chance and tells him he asked him to stay to observe not chat it up with all his superstars. Nick tells him he is having a rough night, so he is going to go ahead and leave. He told Adam thanks for having me. Nikki Cross then walks by, and Adam shook his head and said I need a drink.

Bronson Reed VS. Akira Tozawa

Reed hits a Tsunami and gets the win.

Winner: Bronson Reed

Alpha Academy and The New Day talking about the new Dallas Cowboys championship title and Tozawa walked in and they gave him the title and DIY walked in and all joined in on congratulating Tozawa on a good match.

Drew McIntyre walking in the back and Seth Rollins said another win for you with the Judgment Day and Seth said he didn’t need the Judgment Day to beat him at Crown Jewel.

Main Event Jey Uso VS. Damian Priest

After Finn Balor came out to assist Priest it was Priest with the South of Heaven chokeslam for the win.

Winner: Damian Priest

After the match the double team continued on Jey Uso, and they went to put Jey’s leg in a chair like they did to Cody Rhodes earlier in the night, but Cody Rhodes comes out and stops it and Cody had Damian’s leg in a chair but before he could hit him Finn pulled Damian from the ring.
