Drew McIntyre gets World Heavyweight title shot on January 1 episode of Raw

The January 1, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw will be headlined by a huge match for the WWE World Heavyweight title as Seth Rollins will be defending his gold against former WWE champion Drew McIntyre.

The announcement came in a backstage segment where Punk and McIntyre came face to face. McIntyre told Punk that he doesn’t care about Punk’s story and he doesn’t care about Cody’s story, and the only thing that matters to him is to finish his story.

“What did I do?” Punk asked Raw GM Adam Pearce after McIntyre got in his face. Pearce said Punk did nothing, but he then informed Punk that McIntyre got himself a shot at Rollins’ title on January 1.

“Good for him,” responded Punk, who was then interrupted by Kofi Kingston, Chad Gable, and Ricochet for a much more friendlier interaction.

The January 1 episode of Raw will take place from the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California. Tickets start from $20 plus fees and are available from AXS.COM.
