AJ “Top Dolla” Francis says botched move from Smackdown saved his life

AJ Francis, who wrestled in WWE as Top Dolla, wrote on social media that the botched over-the-top rope attempt on Smackdown from a year ago actually saved his live.

Replying to a post which read “Happy 1 year of Flop Dolla” along with a video of him crashing and burning, Francis said that he made that dive a dozen times before.

“Legs felt off but I didn’t think about it. After I failed I went to the doc & found out I had Type II diabetes & my blood sugar was 626,” Francis said. “I almost lost my life & was about to lose both feet. The botch saved my life.”

Francis added that he’s now properly medicated and at 330 pounds again.

“I look the best I’ve ever looked in my life,” he continued in his response to the post on X.

Francis was released from WWE in September of this year after he, along with Adonis and B-Fab, returned to the company in August 2022 when Triple H took the creative reigns.
