Statement from McMahon’s team says lawsuit is full of lies and distorted truth

A Vince McMahon spokesman issued a short statement following the lawsuit brought against him, John Laurinaitis, and WWE by former employee Janel Grant.

Distributed to several media outlets, the statement reads, “This lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and a vindictive distortion of the truth. He will vigorously defend himself.”

McMahon made Grant sign an NDA and agreed to pay $3 million in return of her silence but McMahon didn’t pay after the first $1 million installments, opening himself up for the lawsuit. She is now asking for an unspecified amount of money in damages and to void the NDA.

The news of the lawsuit received widespread coverage on all major news outlets.
