Gunther breaks all-time WWE Intercontinental title record

Gunther today broke another record with the Intercontinental title, surpassing Pedro Morales’ 619 combined days as champion and now sits at the top as the man with the longest reign – single or multiple – in WWE history.

The Austrian WWE Superstar broke The Honky Tonk Man’s record of 454 consecutive days as champion last year and Morales’ record of 619 days was the only other record he needed to break.

When it comes to the Intercontinental title, Gunther now sits alone at the top of the mountain.

He won the title on the June 10, 2022 episode of Smackdown from Ricochet in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
