Monday Night Raw TV report for 03/04/2024

Arena: Frost Bank Center
City: San Antonio, TX

First they show Main Event Jey Uso arriving and then Nia Jax.

A recap of The Rock’s counter challenge to Cody Rhodes for night one of WrestleMania airs.

Out first is the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes to answer the challenge. After talking about the Rock not accepting his challenge and warned The Rock to never talk about his dog again. Cody calls out The World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins.

Seth said he has Cody’s back and is 100% medically cleared and is going to Smackdown to confront the Bloodline. Seth then asked Cody if he had his back? Cody then tells the Rock he is coming to Smackdown with Seth and will answer the Rock’s challenge for WrestleMania in person and eye to eye.

Gunther VS. Dominik Mysterio

Dominik held his own against the Intercontinental Champion, but it was Gunther with a powerbomb and turned Dominik into the Boston Crab and Dominik tapped out.

Winner: Gunther

Damage Control are shown walking in the back and Adam Pearce stopped them and asked them what they were doing there. He said he didn’t want any chaos tonight. Shinsuke Nakamura comes over and says he wanted to talk about getting the Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania.

Kayden Carter & Katana Chance VS. Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark

Damage Control are sitting on the announce table during this match.

Chance and Carter hit the After Party, but Shayna pulled Chance off the pin then hooked Carter in the Kirifuda Clutch on the outside and as Chance is attempting to help Carter, Stark rolls her up and holds her down for the pin.

Winners: Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark.

After the match, Damage Control challenged them next week after they get through NXT Roadblock tomorrow night. Shayna says it’s about time we will see you next week.

The Judgment Day in the trainer’s office checking on Dominik and Priest said they are going to take care of the rest of Imperium and JD can face Gunther next. Andrade walked in and said something to Dominik and Dominik tells the rest of Judgment Day to keep an eye on him, he could be important to them.

Nia Jax VS. Becky Lynch

With Becky down in the ring and Nia outside, Liv Morgan comes from the crowd and hits Nia and Nia bounces off the ring post.

Winner By DQ: Nia Jax

After the match as Liv and Becky argue, Nia pulls them both out of the ring and leaves them both lying on the floor.

Ricochet is in Adam Pearce’s office and is trying to get himself into the Intercontinental Championship match. Judgment Day comes in and want JD to get a match with Gunther and Pearce said give me your sales pitch quick I am getting ready to go make my announcement.

Liv Morgan is walking in the back and Becky Lynch came in yelling at her. Becky challenges Liv to a match next week and as Liv leaves, Rhea Ripley walks up to Becky and laughs and walks away.

Adam Pearce is making his announcement, and he has decided that Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, Big Bronson Reed, JD McDonagh and Chad Gable will compete next week in a gauntlet match and the winner will face Gunther at WrestleMania for the Intercontinental Championship.

Andrade VS. Apollo Crews

Andrade picks up the win with his arm hook DDT move.

Winner: Andrade

Jackie Redmond interviewed Sami Zayn about his opportunity next week. Sami says he kept talking about a path to WrestleMania opening up for him and this is it. Ivar and Valhalla come in and challenge Sami and Ivar says he knows he can beat Gunther and he knows that Sami knows he can’t beat Gunther and Sami says he knows he can beat Ivar and challenged him tonight.

Candace LeRae, Indi Hartwell, Natalya and Tegan Nox are shown and Natalya tried to rally them and Teagan argued with Natalya a little bit. Candace agreed with Natalya about forgetting our manners and doing whatever it takes and Ivy Nile and Maxxine Dupri walked in and said they know Candace will be OK. Candace tells them she doesn’t need advice from someone who couldn’t lace her boots. Indi apologized and said she will talk to her.

Finn Balor & Damian Priest VS. Giovanni Vince & Ludwig Kaiser

After Balor takes out Kaiser by flying over the top rope onto the floor, Priest ends the match with a South of Heaven chokeslam on Vinci.

Winners: Finn Balor & Damian Priest

They announce the first entrance into the Hall of Fame for this year and his name is Paul Heyman.

Jackie Redmond interviewed Drew McIntyre. Drew says Seth is a spotlight junkie and just wants Seth to show up to Wrestlemania so he can take the title and he will be the bigger man and apologize to Jey Uso because there is no way he is beating Drew McIntyre tonight.

Damage Control again walking backstage and runs into Rhea Ripley who tells them to stay out of her territory.

Sami Zayn VS. Ivar

Ivar misses with a moonsault and Sami gets up and hits an Helluva Kick.

Winner: Sami Zayn

Big Bronson Reed attacks Sami after the match and hits him with a Tsunami.

Kathy Kelly interviews Gunther. Chad Gable walks in and tells him he is sick of his smile. Gable told him to him this just means more to put a smile on his daughter’s face.

Jey Uso talks about his match with Drew McIntyre.

Xavier Woods, DIY, R-Truth playing the new 2K24 video game and The Miz comes in and says he knows what they need to do to the Judgment Day and they need to take their tag titles.

Main Event Jey Uso VS. Drew McIntyre

Solo Sikoa makes his way to the ringside. Cody Rhodes comes out to take out Solo. Jey goes to go to the top rope but is stopped when Jimmy Uso shows up, so Jey goes back in the ring and gets hit with a Claymore.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

Jimmy Uso gets a chair and gets in the ring as Seth Rollins comes in and takes out Jimmy. But Seth turns around and gets a Claymore. Drew then yells at him and tells him he is distracted, and he shouldn’t be, and he then grabbed the title and yelled at Seth some more before dropping the title and walking away.
