Minnesota officials “hopeful” that WrestleMania 41 is coming to the city

The Minnesota Star Tribune is reporting that Minneapolis is a finalist to host WrestleMania 41 in 2025 and is “within weeks” of finding out if the bid has been chosen.

Wendy Blackshaw, Minnesota Sports and Events President and Chief Executive Officer told the Star Tribune that its pitch included hosting the event at the U.S. Bank Stadium and was invited by WWE to participate in the battle for the show.

“We are hopeful, and I hope we get it,” said Blackshaw. “It would be amazing.”

The Tribune said that the winning city will find out next month of the result, a few days before WWE reveals the 2025 host city to the public.

Blackshaw attended WrestleMania last year for a first-hand look at the craziness that surrounds the multi-day event and said it was nothing like she ever saw in her whole life, calling it “unreal.”
