Christian Cage gets AEW World title shot at Double or Nothing 2024

The AEW World title match at Double or Nothing was made official last night on Dynamite with Swerve Strickland defending his gold against former TNT champion Christian Cage.

Cage was introduced by The Young Bucks, flanked by the rest of the Patriarchy, and before uttering a word, he hit Swerve with the mic and beat him down. After a brief comeback, Cage hit the Killswitch on Swerve and then Wayne hit Prince Nana with Wayne’s World.

This time, Cage was ready to speak and told Swerve he never forgets. He said that he didn’t forget what Strickland did to Nick Wayne last year and he didn’t forget that Strickland teamed up with Sting and Darby Allin against him at All In.

Cage lost the TNT title to Adam Copeland on March 20 in an I Quit match and has not wrestled since.
